Dargestellt sind meine akademischen Tätigkeiten in Forschung und Lehre. Dies bezieht sich auf das Hasso-Plattner-Institut für Softwaresystemtechnik an der Universität Potsdam von 2001-2007, sowie auf die Berliner Hochschule für Technik 2019-2024.

Bio Sketch – Research and Teaching

I was born in 1973 in Leer, Germany. From 1993-99 I have visited the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster for a Diploma in Business Informatics / Business Information Systems (in German: Diplom Wirtschaftsinformatik). My focus has been applied computer science (Praktische Informatik) and my diploma thesis was entitled „Entwicklung einer graphischen Benutzeroberfläche für ein CORBA-basiertes, flexibles Workflow-Management-System“ (in English: „Development of a Graphical User Interface for a CORBA-based, flexible Workflow Management System“). From 1999 until 2001, I worked as a software developer for ERP-Systems at the Schleupen AG, Moers, in the domains workflow management, order management and accounting, storage management and financial accounting. To mention one highlight, we cooperated with the  Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität for building a data warehouse for our software. From 2001-2007, I was a research assistant and PhD-Student at the Business Process Technology Group of Prof. Dr. Mathias Weske. My activities at the research group are listed below. I wrote my dissertation about modelling quality aspects for services, see below.
